Study Examines Youth, Gangs & Witness Intimidation

A recent study by the National Center for Victims of Crime examines the phenomenon of witness intimidation by street gangs. The study titled “Snitches Get Stitches”: Youth, Gangs, and Witness Intimidation in Massachusetts analyzes the factors that deter youth witnesses from reporting gang crimes and testifying against perpetrators, and the policies and programs that can encourage cooperation.
